Who We Are

We Continue Building Communities

ADEPS, a Kenyan grassroots non-profit founded with a mission to raise HIV awareness, is committed to enhancing living conditions in rural areas. Working hand in hand with the most marginalized communities, we focus on child education, vocational training, and lifestyle improvement programs. Our commitment is to build strong, vibrant, and cohesive communities—a vision initiated by our founder, Churchill Butalia.

“We aim to build strong, vibrant, and cohesive communities.” – Churchill

Transforming Tragedy into Triumph:

Churchill Butalia, driven by personal loss during Kenya’s 1998 HIV/AIDS crisis, became a catalyst for change. Frustrated by the lack of information and driven by tragedy, he founded The Alliance for Development and Population Services, collaborating with health professionals and the government to comprehend and prevent the disease’s spread. Today, as a guiding force behind ADEPS, Churchill is committed to empowering and uplifting communities, with a focus on awareness, education, and holistic development in rural Kenyan areas.
